Private Gardens

We are extremely lucky to have our beautiful gardens for residents to use at their own leisure when they are looking for some peace and fresh air. Our residents are spoilt for choice, whether they want to do some gardening, socialise with family and friends, soak up the sun or take a leisurely stroll, we have something for everybody. At Osprey Court Care Home, we believe in the importance of residents being able to feel secure with peace of mind whilst soaking up the fresh air, vitamin D, and continuing to do as much regular physical activity as possible to contribute to their overall well-being.

Various Gardening Opportunities

Our private gardens provide a perfect outdoor space for our residents to enjoy, including our various amenities such as beautiful pathways, a shed, arbours, raised planters and comfortable seating.

We like to encourage our residents to garden as much as possible as it promotes social connections, allowing residents to bond with other like-minded residents, whilst maintaining a sense of responsibility and independence.

Entertainment and Outdoor Activities

On warm and sunny days, residents have the opportunity to participate in a variety of outdoor games such as bowls or ball games. Outdoor activities aren’t only a lot of fun, but they also contribute to residents living an enjoyable and fulfilling lifestyle.

Research shows that participating in garden activities helps to reduce stress levels and boost self-esteem. Group games also encourage residents to maintain important skills like problem-solving and hand-eye coordination, while increasing physical movement. This combination of mental and physical engagement promotes overall health and well-being.
