Our Respite Care programme helps residents to rest and heal while also allowing family members and caregivers to relax. Our kind and experienced staff are well-versed in recognising and responding to a wide range of health conditions, allowing them to deliver individualised care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Respite Care FAQs

The length of time you can book for respite care varies based on individual needs and bed availability. At Osprey Court we provide professional respite care with a minimum stay of four weeks, to allow residents to feel settled and get the most out of our respite service. Respite care can extend to several months as determined by a personalised care assessment.

Respite care is accessible to anyone who requires support on a short-term basis, people who need support with daily living after a hospital stay, or whose caregivers are seeking a short break. It also serves as an opportunity to trial a care home for four weeks, assessing suitability for full-time care if needed.

During their stay, residents receive support with daily tasks including bathing, dressing and mobility. Depending on medical needs, nursing and dementia care are also available. Respite residents are also very welcome to participate in our activities and events program designed to enhance both mental and physical wellbeing.
